This is one hard hitting 7.62x54 round. Here is a pic on my Naget and some history. Mosin Nagant Model 1891/30 Model 1891/30 (винтовка образца 1891/30-го года, винтовка Мосина): The most prolific version of the Mosin–Nagant. It was produced for standard issue to all Soviet infantry from 1930 to 1945. Most Dragoon rifles were also converted to the M1891/30 standard. It was commonly used as a sniper rifle in World War II. Early sniper versions had a 4x PE or PEM scope, a Soviet-made copy of a Zeiss design, while later rifles used smaller, simpler, and easier-to-produce 3.5x PU scopes. Because the scope was mounted above the chamber, the bolt handle was replaced with a longer, bent version on sniper rifles so the shooter could work the bolt without the scope interfering with it. Its design was based on the Dragoon rifle with the...    less

After that were a series harleys.  I don't think i ever went a summer without riding since 1977.  In 1992, i bought my own bike ,  it was a 79 sportster.  I never felt comfortable it.  It always felt awkward.  I thought it was because i was riding solo rather than just vegging out on the back.  Perhaps that was part of it, but about 5 years ago i bought  a 2000  Honda Shadow.  Man she fits like a freakiin' glove... so comfortable!    I wouldn't trade her for anything!  Looking forward to a new summer...    less

    Do you remember your first?
Hey seasoned veterans. Have you gone on many long hauls? What one stands out the most to you? Is it your first? Your last? One that had a special meaning to it? What makes it most memorable to you?

It all started on gravel roads out in the country on a home made scooter my Grandfather gave me when I was 12, that makes it about 50 years. had a couple trail bikes and a honda, 3 tripumhs, and on my 4th harley as far as street bikes go. Boy did he ever start something with that scooter. Thanks
    granddad.

Wasn't my first, but one with lots of memories, from Kentucky out to Colorado, up Pikes Peak then north to Sturgis and then back home. Over 4200 miles with my brother, both of us on Sportsters, back in 1982. Just two crazy boys out having fun, boy those were the days.
