  I'm looking to get a bike for a 60 mile commute I make on a rural highway. Here are some of the criteria I'm working with at this point.
  $2000-$3500 so used.
  mid range cc, flexible as I don't know current bikes.
  overall size of bike, as garage storage is minimum.
  reliable, I can keep up all maintenance but want to ride not rebuild.
  capable of having backpack or drybag strapped on somewhere. Saddle bags.
  Windscreen
  32" inseam
  ABS-Thinking something more recent as opposed to an 80's or 90's bike
  speculate I'm looking for a 'standard' bike if I was to categorize
  
  internet suggestions;
  BMW G650GS, F800R
  Honda Rebel
  Honday CB500, CB300
  Suzuki 650, 750
  KTM 790
  Kawasaki ??
  Triumph Bonneville
  Royal Enfield Continental GT

  • Xanbiker The 650 V Star is a good dependable bike I usually see most listed between$2,500 to $3,000 often with less than 30,000 miles on them.

  • Akdog Awesome, thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't looked at that one yet. Seems to really fit the needs. Like the look of it too which is always important

  Used bike in the $2K-3K range.
  Commute one hour each way.
  Need to carry my foul weather sailing clothes so strapping on dry bag or saddle bags.
  Highway riding.
  Around the 500cc range.
