  • Leesburg Scenic Ride April 23 2016

An awesome gorgeous scenic ride through the hills of Central Florida surrounding Leesburg. The view of one of Florida’s largest spring lakes, beautiful but deadly to man and nature. Once a hot bed for aquatic sports and athletics. Now a sad historical testament to American greed, but still a site to view.

Hills and orange groves not leveled yet for urban development could still be enjoyed. White sand and sea shells show that once they were dunes and part of the Atlantic Ocean. The ride passes the last small hamlets nestled in valleys. Old La France fire trucks, still in use today by volunteer hook and ladder outfits are parked in clear view. But not for long.

The ride ends on Main street of downtown Leesburg where rows of great looking bikes just like yours are parked. Blocks of vendors, great entertainment and very tasty food for great prices. Bring your own water bottles, folding chair, camera, friends, your babe and some mullah. A show for every ones taste.

The ride starts at 9 AM with coffee, bagels and acquaint with new found and ol’ friends at Panera Bread 1538 W. Orange Blossom Trail or N. US. 441 Apopka 32703 kickstands up at 10 AM on the dot.
