took an unrestored GS450A I found in a barn and bought for $600. Fixed some electrical, cleaned it up, gas, fluids, tires and battery...Fired right up and runs like a scalded dog!
Added highway bar, generic pegs, Slipstreamer SS-28, heated grips, 50-caliber Ammo Cans (with added turn signals) for saddlebags, chopped up a Suzuki GS450L sissybar/luggage rack to create a driver's backrest and now mounted an early-1980's Bates trunk with integrated brake lights, powder coated the wheels black, and did a custom spray paint Americana paint scheme.
We call it Frankenbike since everything added to it was never intended for it. We just make it work.
