Hollister Independence Rally Roars Back This July 4th Weekend 2026!
HOLLISTER, CA — Get ready to ride! The legendary Hollister Independence Rally returns this Fourth of July weekend, bringing with it the roar of engines, unforgettable entertainment, and an iconic celebration of motorcycle culture.
Since 1947, Hollister has been hailed as the Birthplace of the American Biker, inspiring the 1953 cult classic The Wild One starring Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin. That film not only shaped the image of the American biker—it helped define an entire subculture.
A Celebration for All, this free event is open to all ages
At the heart of the action is San Benito Street, stretching from 4th to South Streets in downtown Hollister. This historic strip transforms into a biker’s paradise, lined with roaring motorcycles, beer garden with live music, vendors, and a festival atmosphere that welcomes enthusiasts from all walks of life. Whether you're a rider or just looking for a great time, there's something for everyone—custom bikes, gear, food trucks, cold drinks, and much more.

Friday, July 3
11 AM – 3 PM: Legendary Chicano All Stars – Back by popular demand, local legends bring Latin flavor to kick things off.
3 PM – 4 PM: Russ Brown Battle of the Bartenders – Beer garden bartenders compete for rally royalty.
4 PM – 8 PM: Keep On Truckin’ – A tribute to the Woodstock Generation Keep On Truckin’ performs Rock, Blues, Funk and R&B, faithfully recreating the musical experience of one of the greatest events in music history.
Saturday, July 4
11 AM – 3 PM: Fair Warning Band – A tribute to the music of Americas biggest rock bands of the 80’s.
4:30 PM – 8 PM: Legendary Chicano All Stars – This Latin group will return to dance us into the early evening hours.
Can’t-Miss Rally Highlights
Motorcycle Cruise-In: From 10 AM to 8 PM Friday and Saturday, San Benito Street becomes a two-wheeled loop of horsepower and chrome. Motorcycles only—spectators welcome!
Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys Battle of the Bartenders Competition: Join the fun on Friday, July 3, from 3 PM – 4 PM at the Modelo Main Stage in the Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys Beer Garden. Presented by national sponsor Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, the Miss & Mister Bartender Competition invites spectators to vote for competing beer garden bartenders to join rally royalty. Be sure to be there to cast your vote!
