  Massachusetts Sheriffs Deputy killed

   Ryan Tvelia a Sheriffs deputy for Norfork county here in Massachusetts was killed while on his motorcycle while in route to a funeral detail on the highway.  Since the story is still fresh the only thing they're saying is he was...  more Ryan Tvelia a Sheriffs deputy for Norfork county here in Massachusetts was killed while on his motorcycle while in route to a funeral detail on the highway.  Since the story is still fresh the only thing they're saying is he was crushed between two cars on Route 95. He was on his Police motorcycle to a funeral detail of a correctional office here in Mass.  I didn't know Ryan personally but I have ridden with some of the Sheriffs here in Mass. and I can say that they can ride and if this can happen to them it can happen to any of us. For those of us in the NorthEast this is something to keep in mind as it is still early in the riding season and the cages haven't got a idea we're back on the road. My you RIP Ryan Tvelia and my prays and condolences to his family.  less

Mine is "Green Grass and High Tides" by The Outlaws.

Jake’s eyes sought the mirror behind the ancient bar and he saw a sight that brought a grin to his aging face. A rider dressed head to toe in new leathers and he was carrying his three quarter black helmet under his left arm. The rider had stopped just inside the door to allow his eyes to adjust to the semi-darkness of the watering hole. Steppenwolf was just nailing the last chords of “Born to be Wild” on the juke box. The man in black threw his head back and helped them to finish the song. Jake had a brief flashback of “Wild Hogs” and silently asked the Cycle Gods to save him from this new and present wannabe... No such luck. He headed to the bar and called out “Anybody here? Hey, who’s ass do I have to kick to getta beer in this crappy bar?” He grinned at Jake and laughed a hollow laugh of bravado.   Many of you i have gotten to know on C/F know im a LEO. My friend, motor cop, fellow biker died this morning on duty in Augusta Georgia (Richmond County Sheriffs Office). His name was JD Paugh. My friend, motor cop, fellow biker died this morning on duty in Augusta Georgia (Richmond County Sheriffs Office). His name was JD Paugh. I met JD about 15 years ago when we were both new officers he was the kind of guy that everyone liked, funny, great sense of humor (you have to to be a motor cop we were brutal with pratical jokes). JD would always laugh off every time we would pull the plug wires off his bike, hide his saddle bags and so on just a great guy. JD was on his way home from traffic detail this morning and noticed a vehicle had run off the roadway into a grass median. He pulled off the roadway onto the shoulder to help what he thought was a stranded motorist. Before JD could put his kickstand down the driver of the vehicle shot JD in the chest with a M4 rifle. JD got two rounds off then the suspect fired 35 rounds killing JD at the scene then shot and killed himself. The suspect was a 26 year...    less

  Goodbye my friend.

      I just got done burying, the best friend I've had for the past year. My cat, Midnite. He was a feral cat that latched onto me, a little over year ago, right around the time, my ex and I started having BAD...  more     I just got done burying, the best friend I've had for the past year. My cat, Midnite. He was a feral cat that latched onto me, a little over year ago, right around the time, my ex and I started having BAD problems.  This cat seemed to know, that I needed a friend.  And he was there for me, day after day.  So, when I was almost homeless, I thought I'd have to leave him where we were, but I had promised him, I would try and take him with me. Suffice it to say, he came with me, and everything was fine until 3 weeks ago.  He got sick, and couldn't eat.  He lost a significant amount of weight. and started falling over.  He couldn't jump up onto anything without falling.  Well, I took him to the vet today, and the diagnosis was feline leukemia.  And unfortunately, my roommate has other cats, and it wouldn't be good for them to be around each other.  The vet said that Midnite wouldn't ...    less
