Message It all started when we needed to get rid of some old motorcycle magazines my boyfriend had sitting around. I tried to see if anyone like VFW or American Legion where doing boxes to the Troops. Nobody was, but then a friend of mine said why don't you send them yourself. Well...100 boxes of 2,579 magazines plus 100's of snacks, toiletries, phone cards, etc. later, it shows no signs of stopping! I've shipped to 19 different areas in Afghanistan, Iraq, and even Djibouti Africa. I dubbed it "M/C Mags For Military", but have sent many different kinds of magazines, paperbacks, puzzle and notebooks, as well as playing cards, note cards/stationary, and even some holiday cards that Troops can send to their family and friends. I've received emails and even a surprise phone call from Camp Lemonier where there are Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine, and Coast Guard personnel all working together to fight against the Somali pirates. It's those email's and thank yous that keep us going. It is the least we can do..for what they are doing for us. All the boxes are packed with TLC right in my basement in Council Bluffs. I've even gotten to know some of the workers at the post office, they see me so often. It has taken on a life of it's own and I hope to keep the good going. We just need a little hand up. Quickly out-growing my basement, we could use an office/warehouse to relocate to. We’ve had success in holding fundraiser events but it’s never been enough to get our 501(c) going. There are more military deployed on a regular basis, so the need keeps growing. It wouldn’t take much to get this on a level where I can do it full time. Actually be able to employ a few people. Somebody told me once..”You can never dream too big.” Please help in aiding mine to come true. Thank you.

Update 11-30-2016: Over 4,000 plus countless creature comforts were sent in the almost 3 years I organized M/C Mags.
