Well here's my 10 cents worth(inflation ya know). When it comes to things I like doing, I am an all out kinda guy. Somewhere along the way I lost the ability to regulate my alcohol consumption. I don't want to drink and drive but if I drink sooner or later I'll wind up driving or riding blasted. There is no such thing as one or two for me. So eight years ago, after thirty years of drinking, I decided to just not drink. I have just as much fun as I ever had, probably even more. I know that my motorcycle doesn't get tore up near like it did in my drinking days. So there you have it.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my post. I really appreciate your input. Found a good deal on a 2000 flsts with 28,000 miles. It's got the twin cam 88 . Still that 96ci in the Crossbones is pretty enticing...cool hot rod or cool cruiser? @ Jimmy Acorn I've also been looking at one just like you described. I was wondering how the ride is on one, thanks for your input on that. I've been hearing a lot about the twin cams needing the hydraulic cam chain tensioners changed at 28 k. Anyone know about doing that? I've got an old Norton with those and they are a piece of cake to replace.

Didn't know that one I'll have to try it out. Is that the kind of stuff they teach in a motorcycle safety course.  Maybe I ought to take one.
