Hello, my name is Patti and I live in Parker Arizona. It's a very cool place to live, (well, not exactly cool because of the desert and all!). The Colorado River is in the front yard, or back yard, or side yard, or whatever. It's here! Except for some time I lived in Las Vegas, I've lived here in Parker. Vegas had plenty of oportunities I suppose, but Parker will always be home to me.

Besides the typical assortment of brothers and mothers, I have a beautiful daughter, a 4 year old grandbaby, and another grandbaby expected in January. I have a nice comfortable home so I spend most of my time inside. However, I don't mind a good party.

I've not always made the right choices out there and it has been a long journey. But right now I'm beginning to really enjoy life. I've learned a lot of life's lessons along the way, and I'm beginning to use some of the knowledge that came with those lessons. The kind of knowledge that can only be obtained from practical experience; your mother can tell you a thousand times not to touch the fire, but until you stick your hand in the flame, you haven't really learned anything. Well my hand is scared and bandaged. I have more compassion and understanding now days. And I don't waste my time on drama or conflict like I used to. I mean I don't waste as much time as I used to. Hey! I'm working on it!

The most important thing a person can do when they want to make some big lifestyle change is to get away from the people in their life that live the way they're trying to change from. Like the person who gets lost because they followed someone else, they shouldn't be suprised when they end up exactly where they followed someone to. These days I'm getting my own damn map! The best way to tell if you need to let someone go is to ask yourself, "is this person a positive or a negitive to my life?" It's really that simple. If they aren't part of the solution, they're part of the problem! Kick 'em to the curb as fast as you can and don't look back. Anyone around me who gets off on, or accepts misery is gone. I like to laugh and enjoy funny, smart people.

Naturally I still make my share of mistakes, hell who doesn't? And I'll be the frist to admit it if I'm asked about it. :) Whoa Patti, don't bore everyone to death here! Damn it, I feel good about the future and the part of my life that lies ahead.

Bottom line is this: Family, The Golden Rule, and Honesty, there isn't anything more important.

In Memory Of Bill Herrick, John Thompson, Bobby, Ricky Hart, Rebel and most recently Jim Willliams

    When I’m Gone

    Don’t sit and listen,
To sad songs and love melodies.
Take my picture from the mantle and pack it away.
And all your memories you have of me
In your heart is where they’ll stay.
I know how it must hurt you
But you have to let me go,
Just think of this as a novel
And like every story, it must close.
    But in your heart
My love will shine forever moreAnd in your dreams I’ll be there
    This you can be sure
I’m sorry for the things I said
In times that weren’t so good.
I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you things
    Things I never could
    I promise I was faithful
    And things I never said
    Were only thoughts and feelings
That were locked inside my head.
