Event Desc

  • This event honors the legacy of the Original Italian Motogiro Endurance race dating back to 1914, and is designed specifically for vintage bikes 125cc and smaller, covers 125 miles in length, and takes place on the 125th day of the year (or the closest Saturday!).

This VJMC event requires a modest entry fee ($25 per VJMC member, $35 for non-members), which covers a chase vehicle, buys lunch for our volunteers, and covers the cost for the stickers and Certificates of Completion.

The riders of this event ride their small vintage (pre-1990) Japanese smaller displacement (125cc or less) bikes on a 125 mile journey, with check points every 25 miles, where each rider picks up a "milestone completion sticker".

All riders that successfully reach all 5 check points receive a Moto Dieguito Certificate of Completion.  Event T-shirts are available for an additional $30 each, which includes postage.

We will gather at 9am at the Rancho Brnardo Public Library parking lot and begin the ride at 10am. The ride will include several bathroom stops at each 25-mile check points, and a lunch break at around the half-way point. The ride will end back at the starting point at around 5 - 6pm. This ride has NO freeway and is friendly to small displacement bikes that can average 40 mph or more.
