On September 13th, the Swoope Fire and Rescue along with Brotherhood On Wheels MV CMC Blue Ridge Chapter and AUGUSTA COUNTY BIKERS will be hosting the 3rd annual 9-11 Ride.
The event will be held at the Swoope Fire Department. Registration will start at 7:30 am with KSU at 9:11 am sharp.
The donation to the Fire Department is $20 per bike or Jeep or other special vehicle. USA Flags are encouraged to be displayed.
You will enjoy taking part in The Worlds Longest Parade on the Bull Dog as seen on Freeman Maps
Passing through farm land and mountain roads, you will be greeted by the Craigsville, Goshen, Monterey and McDowell Fire Departments on the route.
We will be stopping in Goshen at the BP station for a rest stop and in Monterey at the Fire House for a rest stop where they will be treating you to a snack and bottled water.
Heading back to the Swoope Fire House: While we are enjoying the 114 mile ride on The Bull Dog, the members of the Swoope Fire and Rescue have been busy preparing a special lunch for you. This will be without a doubt, the best meal you will have on an event anywhere. Best of all it's all "FREE" You will not be disappointed.
Come on out and support the fine members of our local Fire and Rescue Heroes as we Remember 9-11
