Bill was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Not only was he an active member and Officer of the American Legion Riders #103, but he was instrumental in starting the VFW #1111 Riders, as well. He and his significant other Lestra Huls, were involved in a motorcycle accident on July 315, , 2016. This resulted in serious injuries for them both. Though Bill required a right leg below the knee amputation, his love for riding, and teaching others how to ride, never wavered. Sadly, on November 8th, , 2019, Bill unexpectedly passed away.
To honor his unselfish sense of giving, the ALR and the VFW Riders have this benefit annually. This year, we are again asking for your help to raise money for the Indiana Chapter National Pancreas Foundation - in Bill's honor.
