Event Desc

  • Ride from the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery in Lodi to the Stanislaus Veteran Center in Modesto. Where we will serve food, drinks, raffle off items and celebrate the lives of these men and women. Monetary donations collected from participation of the ride and from the raffled items will 100% go towards a Scholarship Fund for the best JROTC student each year within our community to hopefully help ease the burden of pursuing a degree or pursuing a carrer in the United States Armed Forces, in the name of Robbie Mariano and the heroes from our community who sacrificed it all for us.

In January of 2006, devastation struck as a 21 year old Stockton Native with his whole life ahead of him, was struck and killed by an I.E.D. (Improvised Explosive Device) in Najaf, Iraq. PVT Robbie Mariano, A son, a brother, a friend, an American was taken from our lives.

He is not the only hero we have lost. There has been too many from The San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County. A small example; SPC John Carrillo Jr., SGT John W. Perry, SGT Victor Hugo Cervantes, SPC Mark Ryan Climaco Caguioa, CPL Charles O. Palmer, Major Mark D. Taylor and the list goes on.

With that in mind, we have decided to put together a Memorial Run in the name of PVT Robbie Mariano, not only to honor his life but to honor the life of all Fallen Veterans that are from the Central Valley.
