The American Legion wants to ensure higher education is a possibility for children whose parents lost their lives while serving our country. The American Legion also includes children of VA-rated, post-9/11 veterans with a combined disability rating of 50 percent or higher. Each year the American Legion Riders Post 259 offers support to the Legacy Scholarship Fund with their Legacy Run. This years scenic ride begins at the Oneonta Vets Club and includes stops at 4 American Legions or Vets Clubs in Richfield Springs, Waterville, Norwich and Sidney. The registration price includes a bbq chicken dinner at the Oneonta Vets Club when the ride is over. There will be a Chinese Auction, Door Prizes and 50/50 Tickets at the end of the ride.
