  • Please join the City of Oak Forest, Oak Forest Veterans Commission, and the Marine Vets MC as we Escort The Wall That Heals from Manteno, IL to Oak Forest, IL.

    *This event has been moved up a day early at the request of the VVMF Staff. With the new Wall that Heals being larger, it is taking up to 6-7 hours to install in addition to the volunteer training. This additional day will give the staff a full day for installation.

    1400 Hrs.: Staging - Phantom Harley Davidson, 291 N. Cypress Dr., Manteno IL 60950

    1445 Hrs.: - Welcome Ceremony, introduction of officials and ride brief.

    1500 Hrs.: - Kickstands up.

    15-1600 Hrs.: - Police Escorted ride to Oak Forest and the final site. Please note that the route will be set roughly 3 weeks prior to the ride pending approval of the trucking company that will be hauling The Wall That Heals in an 80’ trailer. The ride will be approximately 30-35 miles and will last about an hour.

    1600 Hrs.: - Escort Photo Ops with the trailer.

    1700 Hrs.: - Post ride event. Oak Forest Bowl and Park 15240 S. Cicero Ave Oak Forest IL 60452

    The Wall That Heals will be on display, open to the public from 4-7 October. A schedule of events will be made available. Volunteers are always needed during this time frame.
