Event Desc

  • This is the 5th Annual Oj Alvarado Remembrance & Legacy Poker Run. June 1, 2014 OJ Alvarado passed away after being in a coma for 3 weeks after suffering a brain bleed while working out. OJ was an active duty Marine who served tours in Iraq & Afghanistan while being based out of Camp Pendleton where he was a Sargent/instructor in the school of infantry.

The 1st run was July 20, 2014 and has been repeated on Flag Day weekend. We ride to remember not only OJ, but other friends & family members near & far who have passed.

Funds raised are donated to the Semper Fi Fund which helped the Alvarado family during & after OJ’s hospital stay. Funds are also given to the Colorado Gold Star Family weekend which has helped not only the Alvarado’s but others who have lost a child who has served their country. 28 Hours of hope is also a charity we help that benefits the children of Northern Colorado.
