  • On Saturday, August 5, 2017 motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Maine will come together to ride and raise money to benefit Healing Through Horses (HTH) Veteran’s Program. HTH is a local non-profit organization that annually serves nearly 80 children and adults who are struggling with varying mental illness and/or learning disabilities. The success stories coming from the place of healing are truly inspiring. We are reaching out to many veteran-related organizations, as well as our friends and families, in the hopes that if we all put our hearts and hands together we can reach our goal to raise enough money in order to add 20 veterans to our program next year!

Our mission is to partner people with horses and through these partnerships help individuals, families and groups overcome life’s challenges. Our goal is to increase our mental health assistance to our veterans suffering from PTSD and other mental health challenges brought on by their service to our country. Arena fees cover less than 35% of HTH's operating budget and the remainder is made up by individual and corporate donations, special events, and grants. All proceeds from the Horses Helping Heroes Charity Ride will go directly to the HTH Veteran’s Program to help more veterans either begin or continue the healing process by partnering them with our horses.
