  • June 1, 2014 OJ Alvarado passed away after being in a coma for 3 weeks after suffering a brain bleed while working out. OJ was an active duty Marine who served tours in Iraq & Afghanistan while being based out of Camp Pendleton where he was a Sargent/instructor in the school of infantry OJ is survived by his wife Traci, daughter Codi & son Abel.

    This 1st poker run was July 20, 2014, was repeated again last year on Flag Day weekend. This years run is still a Legacy to OJ but includes our remembrance of lost loved ones from our friends near & far.

    Funds raised are donated to the Semper Fi Fund which helped the Alvarado family during & after OJ’s hospital stay. Funds are also given to the Colorado Gold Star Family weekend which has helped not only the Alvarado’s but others who have lost a child who has served their country. 28 Hours of Hope has been added to benefit the children of Northern Colorado.
