  • We are blessed to announce our 6th Annual Charity Poker Run to benefit Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH) Research! This disorder is also known by Glycine Encephalopathy (GCE) and by either name it is a devastating diagnosis for any family. It affects 1 in 60,000 children worldwide, research for a cure is nearly non-existent! We must change that and this is our family’s way of giving back.

We lost our precious nephew to this rare metabolic disorder July 15th, 2010 at 19 months and 13 days old. There is not a day that goes by that Brackston "Turtle" Trowell isn't in our thoughts. Please join us again this year to celebrate his life and raise research dollars to end this terrible disorder.

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of celebrating his younger brother, Troy's 4th birthday! He also was diagnosed with NKH and keeps us pushing every day to make their tomorrow better! Each new day is a blessing and a new prayer goes up for a cure. Thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers.
