Iron Order MC, North Phoenix presents the 4th Annual Logan's Ride

This year, we will be raising money for HopeKids, who has helped support Logan and his family through all of his trials.

The ride will be $10/rider, $15/couple. It will be a 100 mile ride through the beautiful Arizona desert.

Logan is the son of Candy and Jamie Carson. Born in January of 2005, Logan went into kidney failure while hospitalized for septic shock secondary to Strep Throat in June of 2012. In addition to kidney failure, other complications included loss of his right lower leg, part of his right hand, right eye, multiple patches of skin on his arms, legs and face and areas of bone in his skull. He spent 6 1/2 months in the hospital, undergoing dialysis and weekly debriding and skin grafting surgeries for the majority of the duration. He was fitted with a prosthesis for his right lower leg and learned to walk again at the end of his hospitalization.

Logan (nicknamed SuperLogan for his resilience and sweet and charming nature in the face of much adversity) had been undergoing peritoneal dialysis for 9 hours every night while waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant, which he received on March 31, 2015. He will also likely undergo further facial reconstructive surgery in the future. This depends on if the kidney transplant (and remaining blood supply to his skull) allows enough healing of the bone to support a surgical reconstruction. Only time will tell.
