The Silver City Blues & Bikes Festival is in its 21st year. It is put on by the Mimbres Region Arts Council, a non profit organization dedicated to bringing the arts to Southern New Mexico. The Blues & Bikes Festival is a free festival.
- The dates for this year are May 27,28,29. Friday will be our kick off dance as well as the first performance of the Busted Knuckle Stunt Tour. Saturday and Sunday will be non stop music and performances by the Busted Knuckle Stunt Tour.
- The festival is held in downtown Silver City around Gough park and surrounding areas.
- Taj Mahal will be our headliner act for Saturday Night. Dirty Dozen Brass Band for Sunday's headliner, as well as a full line up Friday evening through Sunday.
- Busted Knuckle Stunt Tour will perform all 3 days. They are an all Harley stunt team from Arkansas.
- There are 3 separate Markets for the Festival. Blues Market, ( arts & Crafts) Bikes Market (Biker targeted goods, builders, bike sales, tattoo etc.) Kid Zone. All 3 are centered around the music, beer garden and food.
- There will be a bike run around the Gila wilderness on Saturday morning before the music starts at 12:00. This is an 85 mile ride through some of our most beautiful wilderness.
- Peoples Choice bike show on Sunday. There will be 3 categories this year. Antique/vintage, New Custom, Hand Built. All with 500.00 cash prizes as well as hand made trophies by local artists.
- Silver City has some of the most beautiful riding areas in the Southwest. We also have several hotsprings along these rides. We're at about 6000 feet so the weather is perfect this time of year! For more info about lodging www.silvercitytourism.org
