Event Desc

  • The 2016 MotoAmerica season will again open at the immaculate Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, and will run in conjunction with the MotoGP World Championship.

With its 20 turns, the Circuit Of The Americas on the outskirts of Austin, Texas, provides racers with plenty of challenges. The immaculate and purpose-built Grand Prix track is 3.426 miles in length and can play host to some 120,000 fans. The circuit was completed in late 2012 and the track hosted its first motorcycle race – the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas – in 2013. The 2016 season will mark the return of the MotoAmerica Series at the track known as COTA - a year after the series made its debut of what was a favorite of both racers, teams and fans.
