Event Desc

  • A Police Escorted Ride to benefit the Quinn Witherspoon Memorial Fund. The fund is a non-profit 501(c)3 and all donations are tax deductible. Below is a brief description of the Fund. This ride is especially meaningful because is the 10 year anniversary of Quinn's death. Please come out and support the fund and meet some great people and enjoy some awesome food at the end of the ride!

The Quinn Witherspoon Memorial Fund has been set-up as a charity for children of officers of the Concord Police Department, Kannapolis Police Department and deputies with the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, in the event their parent should lose their life in the line of duty or to any other untimely death. The fund is named after Master Police Officer Quinn Witherspoon, who suffered an untimely death on September 13, 2005. Quinn was a person who led by example and showed true compassion to the citizens of Concord, NC. In his eleven year tenure with Concord Police Department he earned the rank of Master Police Officer, loved being a K-9 Officer and working with his partner, Tank. Therefore, it is only appropriate that we have named this fund in honor of a true friend and model police officer, Quinn Jackson Witherspoon.
