FUN and Fundraising 1,900-Mile Ride Event Benefits Special Olympics August 15-23

West Palm Beach, FL – It is time to make dreams come true again as motorcycle and exotic car enthusiasts start polishing chrome for the 15th annual Dream Ride Experience. This traveling road show leaves PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, on August 15 and works its way up the mid-eastern states to Farmington, CT, spreading good will, T-shirts, medals—and money to Special Olympics chapters along the way. “Changing the world one smile at a time,” is the motto of the Dream Ride, as smiles abound as the miles unwind.

After the 6-day caravan north, passing through scenic roadways and stopping at attractive tourist destinations along the way, the Dream Ride Experience culminates in a 3-day international extravaganza, August 21-23. The event includes a motorcycle rally and ride for thousands of bikes, a dream car cruise and car show, delicious food, live entertainment, concert performances from Big Machine Record artists, pet adoptions, celebrity appearances, family fun and celebrations of the Special Olympics athletes accomplishments. Tears of joy, hugs, laughter and excitement abound as a over 100 Special Olympics athletes from across the U.S. and the world, gather at the Dream Ride Experience each year to unite, support and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals with disabilities. While the athletes gain recognition, participants gain insight into the value of sharing their motorsports passions with others.

Whether you choose to ride or drive the entire trip, join at various legs of the ride, attend at the beginning or end, or just support a rider or athlete, “Register, ride, donate, sponsor, volunteer, and/or participate today!” is the Dream Ride’s request.

“We call it the ‘Dream Ride Experience’ because it is not just an event, but a true experience for all involved,” states Michael Bozzuto, a grocery industry magnate, who started the fun and fundraiser as a motorcycle ride with some friends, which grew into the multi-day, state and country celebration with thousands of riders, classic car parade and a juried collector car show. The concept also grew in scope and now includes Canada, Australia and St. Kitts in the West Indies to become “Worldwide – One Cause.”

A VIP event will be held at the PGA Resort & Spa on Friday, August 14 from 6:30-10 PM as a send-off for the ride which will leave the Resort Saturday morning, August 15 at 9 AM. Silent auctions, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and a cash bar will kickoff the Florida celebration for Special Olympics athletes who will then travel to Farmington, CT to join in the weekend festivities August 21-23. To participate, donate or volunteer, visit www.dreamride.org or call 561-310-6591.
