Event Desc

  • The event will begin at one place of business in each county that surrounds Pitt County, which is the home of the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital at Vidant Medical Center. This means there are 6 different starting points to this ride. They are listed on the Sponsors Page. Each place of business that is serving as a meeting place to begin the ride will have kickstands up at 9:30 am

Each group must arrive at Hometown Harley Davidson in Winterville, NC no later than 11:00 am. Riders are welcome to arrive as early as 9:00 am in order to enjoy entertainment by Tuesday's Gone and Straight Wire, and fellowship. We will be leaving Hometown Harley Davidson for a nice country ride @ 12:00pm. The ride will leave Hometown to go by the accident site, which is located between Eureka and Fremont. We will then, stop in Fremont to refuel and rest for about 30 minutes. Afterward, we will ride by the cemetary and be on our way back to Hometown. THIS WILL BE AN ESCORTED RIDE. This ride is approximately 70 miles round-trip. It is a very nice and relaxing ride with NO road construction this year. Chili cook-off will begin @ 12:00 pm. We will also have funnel cakes, and sausage dogs along with other festivities such as, live band, 50/50 drawing, door prizes, grand prize drawing, voting on chili , and presenting Jacob's Memorial Plaque Winner (the county that has the most riders to attend) plus $500 to go to their charity of choice. Furtherest rider or group will receive a trophy, as well.
