Riders, Those that know me, know I rarely solicit for anything in a public forum. I feel that this cause is very important and deserves more attention. I will be riding from Orange County, CA to Washington DC the week leading up to Memorial Day. I posted a couple of months ago regarding a fundraising endeavor for the Missing in America Project (MIAP). So far, we have raised $1,652 of the $2,675 goal. Myself, and a Marine colleague, will be riding to D.C. the week prior to Memorial Day (we depart Sun 17 May). To coincide with Memorial Day and Rolling Thunder 2015, we are raising $1 for each mile that we ride toward D.C. We are not asking people to "pledge" a certain amount per mile, but merely a modest donation to the cause. $1, $5, $10....whatever you can afford to donate. 100% of the proceeds will go to MIAP.
