Event Desc

  • Join the Alzheimer's Association and Iowa State University Head Football Coach Paul Rhoads, on the 6th annual A Ride to Remember motorcycle event to raise money for those affected by Alzheimer's disease or other dementia.

This year’s BBQ tailgate will be open to families, so bring your significant others, kids, fathers and mothers! This Father’s Day event will be special, as Coach honors his father who was a caregiver for his mother Mary who has passed of Alzheimer’s disease. This day also happens to be the longest day of the year (the summer solstice), which is a day the Alzheimer’s Association encourages individuals to do what they love all day to raise awareness for this disease.

NEW this year, the BBQ tailgate, check-in and meet & greet with Coach Rhoads will take place BEFORE the motorcycle ride, beginning on the NORTH side of Jack Trice Stadium. Parking will be available in the ticket office parking lot and the lot between Hilton and Jack Trice. Following the BBQ, Coach will lead riders as they make their way around Central Iowa. Cost of $35 per person includes the ride, meet & greet with Coach, an event shirt and a BBQ tailgate.

All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association and additional donations are welcome.
