  • This is the 40th year the Southern California Motorcycling Association has put on this motorcycle event. If you are into long distance, incredible back road riding and want to ride the event of your life, consider this ride.

This ride takes place Labor Day week. It will begin in the San Diego area and finish in Victoria, B.C. Canada on Vancouver Island. You must have a PASSPORT to enter and leave Canada. All registration is on line at www.SC-MA.com. The ride costs $295 and you can pay using Paypal.

For $295 you will sign-in and get your "goody bag" and route sheet in San Diego. You will attend a BBQ on September 2, 2015 where you'll meet many of the riders you'll see on the road. First time riders get a riders briefing for this 2457 mile ride. You will leave in the early morning hours the next day following a fantastic pre-ridden route of back roads all the way up to and through British Columbia. 600 miles of the ride is in Canada. Once you make it to all 4 checkpoints along the way you'll arrive at the Empress Hotel in Victoria no later that 9 PM on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015 and receive your custom made, limited edition belt buckle cherished by all who make the trip. You'll attend a banquet with all finishers on Tuesday Sept.8, 2015 and depart the next morning for home.

Online registration began on January 1, 2015 and ticket sales close on May 31. As of this posting 153 people have signed up for the ride (11 days of registration). We anticipate 300 - 350 riders for the event. Some people have ridden it 35 times! It is a spectacular ride!

Our attendees ride at your own pace... solo, or with friends. You just need to make the checkpoints and be in Victoria by 9 p.m. on the 5th riding day (Sept 7) in order to receive your limited edition belt buckle.

The ride commences on Sept. 3 and finishes in Canada on September 7. You must be in San Diego on Sept. 2 between Noon and 5 PM to sign-in. (You must have pre-registered prior to arrival by buying a ticket prior to May 31, 2015 or a resale ticket on our website anytime after May 31)

When you sign-in on Sept 2 (noon to 5 p.m.) you''ll get your passport, a t-shirt, a plaque, commemorating the ride and route; a 2015 Three Flags hat, a 2015 Three Flags shirt, a decal, patch, and pin. You'll get a wristband which is your entry into the banquet on Sept. 2.

The ride is not bike specific, so we don't care if you're on a Harley trike, Victory Vision, Vespa, Suzuki 250, or Honda Goldwing.

We've been doing this for 40 years and some of these guys have done it 35 times. Lots of others are coming out for the first time. Last year our oldest rider was 84 and our youngest was 17. One thing is certain. Given the route from San Diego, CA; to Victoria, B.C. Canada you will mark this as the best organized ride you've every been on. I guarantee it!

Check out the SCMA Three Flags Forum at www.SC-MA.com, or e-mail me at admin@SC-MA.com if you have any questions.

I hope to see you in San Diego.

    Chairman, SCMA
