Event Desc

  • “The Greatest Escape” Motorcycle Ride originated as a tribute to “The Great Escape” movie starring Steve McQueen, who died of mesothelioma. Since its inception, hundreds of riders have gathered each year to honor those who have lost the fight against mesothelioma and to raise money for research.

Model and motorcycle enthusiast Fabio Lanzoni, along with other celebrity riders and law enforcement officials, will lead this year’s ride from Glendale Harley-Davidson, through the scenic Angeles Crest Highway up to the beautiful Newcomb’s Ranch in La Canada! At Newcomb’s Ranch, participants will receive a ride pin, bandanna, BBQ lunch, cooling necktie, live concert, and more

100% of proceeds will be applied directly to the Punch Worthington Laboratory at UCLA and the Pacific Mesothelioma Center laboratory for important mesothelioma research. Approximately 2,000-3,000 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma in the United States each year, but there's currently no cure for this disease. The Pacific Mesothelioma Center aims to provide laboratory-to-the-bedside research and works to improve mesothelioma victim's lives and longevity by exploring innovative ideas for better treatment options.
