**Tim Peterson Annual Memorial & Benefit Ride — Event Description**

Tim spent his life protecting Cedar Valley. We ask you to come together with Cedar Valley community and help them PROTECT one of their own. 

The **Tim Peterson Annual Memorial & Benefit Ride** is a Cedar Valley tradition honoring the life and legacy of **Deputy Tim Peterson**, a Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputy and UnityPoint part‑time security officer who spent his life protecting and serving the community. Each year, riders, families, and supporters come together to celebrate Tim’s commitment to service while raising support for a local individual or family facing life‑changing hardship.

The 2026 ride begins and ends at the **Cedar Falls Eagles Club**, with a community‑focused route designed for riders of all experience levels. You don’t have to ride to participate — sharing the event, attending the send‑off, or joining the post‑ride gathering all help support the annual recipient.

This year’s beneficiary is **Kevin Baker**, a longtime Cedar Valley volunteer, patriot rider, Vet Holiday's wreath displayer has spent years donating his time, helping families, and quietly paying for meals for local grandparents just to begin with. In 2025, while volunteering, Kevin experienced a life‑altering accident that left him **SCI‑T4 paraplegic**. Funds raised through the ride will support his adaptive equipment needs, medical costs, and ongoing recovery. Still accepting donations. Don't forget to your raffle tickets and t-shirts.
