Hello all,
A new cyclefish forum member and new to motorcycling after a 30 year hiatus.
I'm looking to get a bike for a 60 mile commute I make on a rural highway. Here are some of the criteria I'm working with at this point.
$2000-$3500 so used.
mid range cc, flexible as I don't know current bikes.
overall size of bike, as garage storage is minimum.
reliable, I can keep up all maintenance but want to ride not rebuild.
capable of having backpack or drybag strapped on somewhere. Saddle bags.
Windscreen
32" inseam
ABS-Thinking something more recent as opposed to an 80's or 90's bike
speculate I'm looking for a 'standard' bike if I was to categorize
internet suggestions;
BMW G650GS, F800R
Honda Rebel
Honday CB500, CB300
Suzuki 650, 750
KTM 790
Kawasaki ??
Triumph Bonneville
Royal Enfield Continental GT

I guess you could say I am on the road looking for a new start. right now I am in North Carolina. I left an old, bad life and am on my bike living in a tent looking for a new one. Anyone got any ideas where an old biker might head to look. At my age a tent gets pretty old.
