Well, finally all moved in (now to unpack! lol)

I moved from MA to CT the end of May; found a place to rent that i could take my three German Shepherds!  Big yard... with a garden!
Thank God, wasn't going anywhere without them!

Just started a new job today, traveling to the old job was TOO much!   I'll probably save nearly $100 a week in gas!

Things are sweet... i figure i better fill up on the blessings while i can... never know what is around the corner!

Anyone from the area know of some places to ride to?  I'm not a bar hopper, but love ice cream, state parks and lakes.   (I'm in the Willimantic area)

Welcome, I'm from Ct too, Middletown. AAA has a pretty good motorcycle map with some nice routes too. There is a page on this site where you can see all the CT events & rides too.

I was going to say that the best I found in Ct to ride was to head on up to I-90 and head west, then at Glenns Falls turn Northup 9N and head on up into the Adirondacs, then when arriving in Lake Gearge area there is an Ice Cream vendor just before you hit Lake George village, then on up 9N all the way up to Lake Champlain and cross via the ferry into Vt, then there is loas of routes back to Ct...lol...Been There - Done That!! One days ride!!!

...of course...If you have 2 days then head up 9N past all the lakes and then cut across to Lake Placid, then following day cross over to New Hampshire and go do Mt Washington...then also a nice run back to Ct from there...

Did both of those runs from Windsor Locks Ct a couple of times...its all interstate until you hit 9N, and then its just magic riding the Adirondacs.....

Welcome to Connecticut. I live on the other side of the state which is not far as the state is the size of a postage stamp.... there are a lot of good areas to ride this way in the hills but you are not far from the coast and also pretty close the r.i where you can head over to Newport. You have some state parks as well as some small vineyard areas that are nice. I don't bar hope and ride either but a tasting is good when they are open. Also both casinos are close to you. Ice cream,,, stop up at Popeyes in bantom lake. A lot of bikes on weekends. Plenty of good ride events every weekend around the state. Ride over to kent on route 7 on weekends also as there are always a lot of bikes there.

I'm sure you've found your way around but if not , hop on the bike . Turn left go down the road for a bit then make a right after the big rock , left at the fork . Then see that bike in front of you . Follow them for a bit till they get to the Shamrock . Everyone gets there eventually

Ride till you get lost , then ride some more . Turn on the GPS when it's time to go home

PS if you're itchin to get out there , there's a few of us who ride all year
