Just got back from the OC to Long Beach Remembrance Run/Memorial. What a great turn out - they estimated about 1200 bikes. The ride went smooth, with the exception of riding along the beach on Pacific Coast Highway. As you can imagine, with 85° weather, the beach was paced with traffic already, then add 1200 bikes!!! They did a good job though having us stop in a large parking lot a couple miles short of Long Beach Memorial Park so we could re-group and all ride in together.
I'll upload some pictures after my nap

My 9-11 Tribute ride was with over 3,000 other bikes, including Tex1521. We had a very large police escorted that shut down the roads. Took about hour and half from start to finish, because of so many bikes not miles. Every rider rode in memory of someone that perished that day.
People from the young to the elderly line the roads and overpasses waving flags and the motorcycles, from Missouri into Kansas. Breath taking.

Thanks Mike, But I can't take the credit for the design, a friend of mine sent that to me for the site.

Here are a few pictures of the crowd at the beginning, and the Memorial at the end. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures because my trusty back-seat photographer didn't make the ride with me...

its good to see those who died are remembered, its important too. coming from a country that has endured bombings and shootings for 27 years we know how you feel, and know your pain. May they rest in peace

Getting ready to head over to the Fire House for a small 9-11 ride/parade through town.
How many others are doing any 9-11
Remembrance rides or events today?
I rode in a poker run that was a fundraiser for the families of Fallen Heroes.
Good ride for aa good cause.
