I went with this system and hooked it up to my GPS/MP3 Player. It comes with the mounts, including mp3 player, speakers, charger and 600 watt amp (2x300)
It sounds pretty good up to about 70 mph. and not too expensive.

I had Thunder Road speakers on my Road King and they were OK for lower speeds but failed at anything above 60mph. Plus there was no real bass. Also I had a lot of trouble with them. I sent several back under warranty and the head unit switches went bad. I really did not like the look of speaker housings on the bars so I have removed them completely. Planning to build my own system as soon as I have some free cash to play with. In my opinion these bar mounted sets may work OK at low speeds and on quiet bikes but that is there limit.

Before you use ear buds - check the laws in your state. For some reason cagers can plug in their i-pods - but some states won't allow motorcycles riders to use ear buds.

I got this radio on my V Star 1100 and its LOUD!!! Only downside is if you are listening to radio instead of mp3 the remote does not change channels. terry told me about it and now brother n law, his wife & a friend now have them too.

I saved alot of money by making my own.... amp $50 and two infinity 3" speakers for $80.
The rest of the stuff was scrap metal laying around my shop. I don't ride with a windshield so I can't hear it over 60mph but it's great for running around town.
