Hi there,Danish newbe here with a simple question, my sporty with 883 motor makes banging noise and looses power when hot, like when you tap on a beer bottle with a wrench, oilpressure is fine,any ideers on whats going on???

cant say for sure but I would check or have the primary chain checked if it that bad may need to be replaced ASAP. THERES you a starting point good luck

What type of fuel are you using? Octane rating?

monster666 welcome from Portugal. The only octanes I've seen in Europe are 95 and 98. Sometimes when I run 95 my Lowrider will ping a little. I stick with 98 and have no problem.

It is very difficult to tell from a description of a noise. I recommend you have it looked at by a 'trusted' Mechanic.

Cheap gas I would say. Those kind of engines need high octane at least 93.
