Yep, it can get cold even in July there. Our last trip to Sturgis we had to take a detour because of a road closure, so the next morning we got up and hit the road at 4am to make up time and it was in the 30s. I am still baffled as to why people live somewhere it is freezing in July!!!!

Just a quick update temperatures closer to normal took Rt20 through Yellowstone today 7/29.

On one of my trips inside YellowStone, We were rained on , snowed on, and hailed on all within three hours...

Weather's been fine since then. My rain tonight and tomorrow in Sturgis but we'll see, shouldn't dampen the spirts.
