if you saw my pics of the trailer and the 3/4 van pulling it in the Augusta post here. I told the owner the weight of trailer he needed to install elec brakes actuator on the van. he took it to U-Haul they called a little later saying he needed to upgrade his trailer hitch as well for hauling a heavy trailer. He said ok do it. He had one of his guys bring it over so I could pull it to Augusta. I saw the actuator in the cab when I went to plug in the trailer, NOTHING to plug into. The owner was asking maybe you put an adaptor on the 4 pole plug? I was no it takes a couple extra wires to work the brakes. He called U-Haul and got a major run around finally they said bring it in. A girl looked at it for a couple hrs with a test light and pricked every wire under the van. The owner was don't you run wires to the actuator? she was no Ford installs them at the factory and we just tie into them . She mounted the plug and tied it in. Got back hooked up the trailer, no lights or brakes. took it back she messed with it a couple more hrs got back lights but no brakes. Wait there are trailer brakes but only when the head lights are on then it locks up the trailer!!!!! Now the U-Haul is closed and I have to be in Augusta by EARLY morning. the owner is screaming and getting a huge run around from U-Haul help line. I read the instruction for the brakes go buy an extension cord run it through the cab and out the back door. Tie it in. Now in U-Haul's Electric brake specialist defense it is a complicated hook up. There is a black wire and a blue wire at the trailer plug. You run wires to the actuator you connect the black wire from the trailer plug to the Black wire of the actuator and the blue wire from the plug to the blue wire of the actuator. I made it work got to Augusta He took the van in they were so apologetic said they were going to fix it be sure of that. a week goes by I go back to haul the trailer back to Charleston. Hook the trailer up plug it in and NO BRAKES!!!!! they cut my cord and kept it stuffed the wires up under the van and said it was fixed everything was right and working They intentionally deceived us to think it had brakes if it weren't for me knowing how elec brakes work somebody could have got seriously hurt

We wire new trucks and vans for all types of trailers all the time. Guess my question would be... did you figure out how to keep your colors bright after multiple washings.
