Yeah, with all the buildings they do they knew damn well they needed to pull a permit before putting up an outdoor sign and would have found out right then it violated the zoning. They probably figured the sign would only get the attention of people who passed the bar, but the news coverage would get much more attention. So the price of the sign paid off ten fold, even if they took it down. All part of the marketing plan :-)

They did a "Home Make Over" in Erie for the Extreme Home Make Over TV show.
They tore the old house down and built another.
After all that, somebody realized the house had a tax lien against it.
You can't destroy property with a lien against it.
So a local restaurant / hotel mogul went to the courthouse and paid off the debt.
