Ride as fast as needed so that you can get out in an open space away from cars and assume their all elderly drivers who never see anything or anyone. Never ride faster than your current skill level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read an article years ago about counter steering and being aware of every intersection, staying out of people's blind spots, how to apply front and rear brakes simultaneously and properly, and planning an escape route.

it's like the old saying { bikers are a rare breed , but Harley riders are a dime a dozen ! }

Ride paranoid (like every cage is out to get you).
In general I always ride like no one can see me,even when they act like they do.Always have your scoot in gear at a stop or a light,never know when your gonna need to avoid trouble from behind your ride.Always check if the lane is clear to move over,dont trust your mirrors try to snatch a quik look before changing your line or lane,that one has saved me & other riders from bumping each other, even in the same lane.
