I have been getting alot of new updates saying that I have friend request and then when I check there isn't a request in my box. Anone know anything?

Wooster, could be one of two things.  It could have been a spammer sending out mass friend requests (normally followed by spam messages right after you accept) and the spammer was deleted from the site, or the user that sent it could have canceled the friend request.

In either case you may have already received the email notifying you of the request.  Also if the notification appears in the "Red Bubble" when you log in, that will continue to appear until you clear it (normally cleared when you accept or reject the request).  To clear the New Update from popping up when you log in, see this post...  Clearing Non-Existent New Update Indicators
