My wife shared her plans to help her aunts with an upcoming wedding shower. I told her about my plans to take the bike out on a one day journey. She notices me reading the just arrived Motorcyclist Magazine. Then it happened! The dream of dreams! The crossroad is finally crossed.
She asks, "How much is that bike you want to buy?" I tell her about the Yamaha FJR 1300 sport tourning bike (OK! You HD owners may not be all that excited). She likes riding as a passenger, and I tell her how our 50+ year old bones may be ready to come off the more standard, sport looking bikes, and opt for more comfort while looking at one that isn't as heavy as the others, with handling at the top of that class of motorcycle.
I turn the page of the magazine and spot a Yamaha FJR 1400 planned for 2013. We both gazed at the new offering from the tuning forks. We discussed the bank notes that will pay off in the next year, selling the house from where we moved and buying this one that we now lease to buy when the other house sells. In other words, getting down to one mortgage note!
It's finally going to happen! I will get a new and expensive bike without infuriating my wife. Oh what a glorious day. A day that goes down in my history of memories. I guess the years riding on back of a 1980 Kawasaki Z1R, this Yamaha FZ, and a couple of other offerings from Suzuki had it's toll, or either she is wanting something...lol Either way, there is a new bike planned on the horizen, and this time we're avoiding a World War.
EUREKA!!!!
