Original motor was a 3.6 flathead V8 that the poms used to power the bren gun and troop carriers during the 2nd world war.After said war when they still had a bunch of motors left over and were still tooled up to make them someone at Ford UK came up with the idea of throwing them into the pilots.They made a sedan and an estate,a slightly stretched sedan and a kit to convert sedans to utes,or trucks as you fellas call em,was available in Australia and New Zealand for us colonials. Currently running a 350/350 chev and 10 bolt rear end.Away at the moment having a ground up rebuild.New brakes,power steer,limited slip diff and coil over for the rear and new 385 fastburn goin in. less
