When you arrive, spend time visiting the many animals who reside at the Center including lions, tigers, wolves, leopards, and more. This is not a tour, but a self-guided walkabout event, so you can spend as much time as you want admiring the residents you find the most intriguing. Our knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be available throughout the park to answer your questions and speak to you about the amazing animals who call the Conservators’ Center home.

Then stick around for toe-tapping live music, delicious food (provided by a variety of high-quality food trucks), a raffle drawing, and lawn games. The animal park will be open from 1:30pm-3:30pm, so guests of the Wild Ride event can enter as many times as they want.

Not a motorcycle rider or a veteran? All are welcome! Come in your car, truck, or van to see our critters, join the fun, and take advantage of a great opportunity to thank our military for their service.

The Conservators’ Center is proud to donate 20% of the proceeds from this event to the North Carolina Heroes Fund, which seeks to improve the quality of life for the military men and women of North Carolina and their families who are experiencing financial hardships as a result of their service, oftentimes from overseas deployment.

Use the code HEROES when you register before August 16th and receive $4 off of your reservation!

WONDERING WHAT TO WEAR TO THIS EVENT?

Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. There is no dress code! The event is all outdoors, so please take the temperature into consideration. Also, our walkabout is on a gravel path, so we recommend close-toed shoes for comfort and safety while you visit the animals.

Please note that the quarter-mile driveway of the Conservators’ Center is gravel. All efforts have been made to make our driveway as smooth as possible for your safety.
